CHA Consulting, Inc. is hiring two Junior Inspectors to join our Construction Inspection Team in Columbia, Charleston, or Orangeburg, SC. You will observe highway and roadway work, document progress, and verify conformity with plans and specs.

No prior experience required; travel may be extensive, and you will learn from seasoned inspectors. Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma (Associate’s degree preferred) and can read plans, perform measurements, and create reports using MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
• No prior experience required; construction/observation experience a plus
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with AWP is a plus
• Strong math, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsabilités

• Observe and monitor the construction activities on highways, streets, roadways, and other transportation structures, for compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Record field observations, measurements, and computations to verify work performed
• Prepare clear, detailed reports and maintain accurate project records
• Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys
