Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking Construction Inspectors to perform field inspections on highway and utility projects, review plans and specifications, and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders. The role involves measuring field data for pay estimates and documenting daily activities.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors, follow safety rules, and contribute to high-quality project outcomes. Ideal applicants will have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Able to work outdoors in varying conditions and near traffic.
• Must be physically able to perform field work and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on public improvement projects (highway reconstruction, drainage, bridge work, traffic improvements).
• Review construction plans and contract documents.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, owners, stakeholders, and the public.
• Perform pay estimate calculations from field measurements.
• Update as-built drawings throughout projects lifecycles.
• Observe compliance with safety regulations and project documents.
• Prepare daily field reports with photos, calculations, and sketches.
• Witness material acceptance testing (soil/aggregate, concrete, asphalt).
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality outcomes.
