Job summary

Pennoni Associates seeks Construction Inspectors for projects in the Pittston, PA area. Inspectors will review drawings, specifications and construction documents for building, utility, bridge, and highway work.

The role requires strong communication, field measurements, and on-site testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt with daily reports and as-built drawings. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; night/overtime work may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work well in team settings.
• Must be willing to work safely outdoors in differing weather conditions, near heavy equipment and construction operations, within highway work zones and be physically able to perform field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on building construction, utility line installations, bridge construction, earth embankment and dam projects, and other transportation projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Communicate and coordinate with contractors, project team, and supervisor staff.
• Perform field measurements.
• Complete material tests such as soil compaction, concrete, and asphalt testing and enter results into report format.
• Prepare clear and concise daily field reports in a timely manner, including photographs.
• Create as-built drawings of completed work.
• Work hours may include night assignments and overtime.
