Job summary

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
• Basic arithmetic understanding.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.
• Determine acceptability of day-to-day work, review contractor reports, verify QC procedures and material testing.
• Review material testing procedures and results for conformance to contract and measure quantities of materials placed.
• May perform sampling and in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt pavement.
