Job summary

Pinnacle Engineering Group is seeking an Inspector I to support construction inspection and condition assessment activities. You will perform field inspections, monitor construction operations, and document findings using MS Office, Bluebeam, or PDF editing tools.

The role involves assisting senior inspectors, reviewing drawings, and maintaining project records to ensure compliance with plans and standards. A driver’s license and foundational civil engineering knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of experience in transportation, infrastructure, roadway, utility, construction or related field.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and inspection procedures.
• Knowledge of highway design standards (e.g., AASHTO, MUTCD, DOT or local standards) preferred.
• Familiarity with construction management tools and scheduling software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of site development and transportation-related projects under supervision.
• Assist in preparation of inspection, evaluation, and condition assessment reports.
• Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with plans, standards, and safety codes.
• Document observations, measurements, and photos in accordance with standards.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for plan compliance.
