Job summary

Abode EnergyManagement is seeking a Field Inspector for the Mass Save program. This field-based role requires visiting 4+ homes daily, coordinating with contractors to ensure quality and compliance, and traveling across the state.

The ideal candidate has hands-on building science experience and a BA-P certification (or ability to obtain one through Abode). Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic tests (combustion safety, blower door, infrared scans), data entry for project tracking, and

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of residential building science required.
• BA-P certification required (certification can be obtained through Abode).
• Experience with Mass Save preferred; prior heat pump installer/inspector roles ideal.
• Familiarity with heat pump design and installation best practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to multiple homes each weekday for inspections.
• Coordinate with contractors and customers to ensure quality.
• Conduct diagnostic tests (combustion safety, blower door, infrared scans).
• Analyze measures for program eligibility and sound building science.
• Create reports grading completed work and trigger callbacks.
• Enter data into electronic forms for project tracking.
