Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking an Inspector’s Aide to join our Florida Construction Management division. The on-site role involves assisting Senior Inspectors, conducting on-site inspections of work in progress, and performing assignments with general supervision while ensuring safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, be able to read plans and specifications, perform measurements, and pursue FDOT Intermediate MOT Certification prior to field work; they

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain FDOT Intermediate MOT Certification prior to field work.
• Ability to read plans, follow specs and perform measurements.
• Must pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Performs routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes.
• Gathers and maintains record documents
• Makes field notes and computations
• Perform other related duties as assigned
