Job summary

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered is seeking a Field Inspector to support Potomac Interceptor projects. This field-based role is essential to ensuring contract compliance.

You will perform daily inspections, document progress, review submittals and RFIs, track quantities, and participate in project meetings across DC metro sites. Full-time position with health benefits for employees working 32 hours or more per week.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience as a field/construction inspector.
  • Familiarity with Primavera Unifier or other web-based construction management software.
  • Experience preparing daily reports and monitoring construction for compliance.
  • Background in infrastructure, water, wastewater, stormwater, or utility construction inspection and field testing.

Job description

Delon Hampton & Associates is seeking a Field Inspector to support Potomac Interceptor projects. This position is field based and essential to ensuring contract compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily construction inspections and large diameter sewer rehabilitation projects.
  • Complete daily field reports and decument contruction progress.
  • Track contractor quantities of work performed
  • Attend and document progress meetings and related project meetings
  • Review contractor monthly progress and updated schedules.
  • Review submittals and Requests for Informations (RFIs).
  • Track and follow up on resolution of deficiencies noted during inspections.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a field/construction inspector.
  • Familiarity with Primavera Unifiers or other web-based construction management software
  • Experience preparing daily reports and monitoring construction for compliance.
  • Background in infrastructure, water, wastewater, stormwater, or utility construction inspection and field testing.
Working Conditions
  • Assignment is full-time, five days per week at the client's office in Washington, DC and project sites in DC metro area (Maryland and Virginia)
  • Work is 90% field based and 10% office based
  • Fieldwork may be performed in various weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and dry environments
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs may be required
