Job summary

Arcxis Biotechnologies, Inc. is seeking a field-based inspector assistant who travels to residential job sites across the assigned area. You will coordinate with city inspectors, provide access to equipment, and remain on-site during inspections.

You will transport and set up extension ladders, capture photos of equipment and permits, report results to the office, and stay compliant with safety procedures. A valid driver's license and reliable driving record are essential.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and set up ladders.
  • Comfortable working outdoors at residential sites.
  • Basic construction knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communication and professional conduct with homeowners and inspectors.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to residential job sites throughout the assigned service area.
  • Arrive on time and be prepared before the city inspector arrives.
  • Wait on-site for city inspectors, which may involve extended wait times.
  • Safely transport, carry, set up, and take down extension ladders.
  • Provide inspectors with safe access to attics, rooftops, HVAC equipment, electrical panels, water heaters, and other areas as required.
  • Assist with basic access needs at the property.
  • Communicate professionally with city inspectors, homeowners, contractors, and our office team.
  • Understand and follow basic instructions related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and building inspections.
  • Use a smartphone and company applications to receive assignments, review job information, upload photos, add notes, and provide real-time updates.
  • Take clear photos of equipment, permits, inspection results, correction notices, and job-site conditions.
  • Immediately communicate inspection results or issues to the office.
  • Keep ladders and other assigned equipment organized and in good condition.
  • Follow all company and job-site safety procedures.

Description

This is a field-based position that involves driving to job sites, coordinating with city inspectors, providing access to equipment when needed, setting up ladders, and remaining on-site while inspections are completed. In addition, you can obtain Permits from the City Buildings.

Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and clean/reliable driving record
  • Comfortable driving for extended periods
  • Physically able to carry, maneuver, and safely set up an extension ladder up to 50 LBS
  • Comfortable working outdoors and around residential construction environments
  • Basic handyman or construction knowledge preferred
  • Able to understand basic technical and construction terminology
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, or general construction is a plus
  • Comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, email, GPS/navigation, and taking/uploading photos
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional and respectful when interacting with homeowners and city inspectors
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Patient and comfortable waiting for inspectors when inspection windows are delayed
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and accurately report information back to the office
  • Safety-conscious and able to recognize when a situation is unsafe
