Job summary

Flo Americas Ltd. is seeking an entry-level Hydrogeologist to support hydrogeologic investigations for mining projects. The role emphasizes hands-on field experience, groundwater characterization, data analysis, and model development.

The position involves extensive field work at active mine sites across the western United States, requiring outdoor work, travel, and a strong interest in hydrogeology supporting mine planning and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• A B.S. or M.S. in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships or field experience a plus).
• Strong interest in field-based hydrogeology and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hydrogeologic field investigations and site characterization programs.
• Support and oversee drilling programs including geologic logging, hydraulic testing, and data collection.
• Install monitoring wells and piezometers; conduct groundwater and surface water sampling; perform aquifer testing and water level monitoring.
• Maintain accurate field notes and data records; comply with health and safety requirements.
• Assist with data processing, interpretation, and reporting; support development of conceptual models and numerical groundwater models.
