Job summary

Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. is seeking an HVAC/Refrigeration technician to assist with maintenance, repair and support for service calls across our stores in the Chicago metro area. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork and timely response to incidents.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of refrigeration/HVAC experience, EPA Type 2 Certification, and basic MS Office skills. A valid driver’s license is required and a flexible schedule is expected to cover nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and overtime.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores daily as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/HVAC equipment as directed.
• Assist in compressor, large motor and component replacement.
• Maintain inventory of parts and documentation of repairs.
