Job summary

The City and County of San Francisco's Department of Disability and Aging Services seeks a Full-time 2904 Human Services Technician to support IHSS and APS programs. Under direction, you will assist professionals, transport clients, and help with documentation and payments.

You will conduct home visits, maintain confidentiality, train providers on portals, and coordinate with Protective Services Workers. The role requires caring, attention to detail, and a valid California driver license.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience providing services to seniors or adults with disabilities in a public or private setting.
• California Class C driver license may be required and a good driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Academic substitution: up to six (6) months of experience may be substituted with fifteen (15) semester units (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Assist Protective Services Workers by transporting clients to appointments, legal, financial, and social services.
• Provide standby assistance for cleaning or other services and ensure accuracy and completion.
• Obtain and deliver items requested by clients and approved by APS workers.
• Conduct home visits to observe and report on client living conditions and safety.
• Report abuse, exploitation, or neglect per mandated reporting requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and case records related to client information.
• Promote and train providers on the Electronic Service Portal and Telephonic Timesheet System.
