Job summary

Westlake Royal Building Products seeks an HSE Technician II to support the site safety, health, and environmental programs by partnering with management and employees to ensure regulatory and company compliance. The role emphasizes field engagement, hazard recognition, training delivery, and corrective-action follow-up to strengthen the safety culture.

You will conduct inspections, assist with incident investigations, and help implement corporate HSE initiatives while maintaining documentation

Qualifications

• > High School Diploma or Trade School certification required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
• > OSHA 30-Hour or COSS certifications preferred; safety certifications are a plus.
• > Minimum 5-7 years of manufacturing, industrial, construction, or process industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership and commitment to environmental, health, and safety excellence through personal behaviors and visible field presence.
• Partners with site management, operations personnel, and employees to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conducts workplace inspections, safety observations, and jobsite audits to identify unsafe conditions and compliance gaps.
• Supports compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements through inspections, recordkeeping, audits, and corrective action tracking.
• Delivers safety training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs for employees and supervisors.
• Participates in incident investigations, near-miss reviews, and development of corrective actions.
• Tracks safety performance metrics and prepares reports for management review.
• Maintains equipment, and documents inspection, training, and regulatory compliance.
