LyondellBasell is seeking an HSE Specialist to support Morris operations with health, safety and regulatory compliance. You will drive safety programs, perform field audits, and coordinate with engineering, maintenance and regulators to improve site performance.

The role requires five years in petrochemicals, a high school diploma or GED (associate/bachelor’s preferred) and proficient use of MS Office, Power BI, SharePoint and Teams. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in the petrochemical industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams and drive safety programs.
• Proficiency with common business software and data tools.
• Education aligned with safety disciplines; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion GoalZERO safety culture at the Morris Plant.
• Lead the OASIS safety observation program at Morris Plant.
• Engage with Operations, Maintenance and contractors in the field.
• Conduct procedure reviews, program assessments, and field audits.
• Own site HS programs and advise personnel on safety systems.
• Identify improvements and drive site safety performance.
• Participate in site safety teams and incident investigations.
• Provide on‑call HSE coverage and host contractors/visitors.
