Job summary

Michels Energy Holdings is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator to visit job sites, perform audits, investigations, and emergency response activities. You will support operations by communicating and enforcing HSE programs and by leading safety trainings and new hire orientations.

The role requires 2+ years in safety and 5+ years in oil/gas, with travel across the United States and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role, and 5 years of experience in the oil or gas industry.
• Experience in building substations preferred.
• Board of Certified Safety Professionals and/or Certified Utility Safety Professional credentialing (desired).
• A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to travel across the United States (up to 100%).
• Ability to work a flexible and varied schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform job-site visitations, audits, incident investigations, and emergency response.
• Assist operations with compliance and communication of existing HSE programs by conducting meetings and trainings.
• Provide new hire orientations and ongoing safety trainings.
• Travel to projects across the United States as required.
