Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies invites an experienced Project HSE Advisor to join a major overhead transmission project near North Platte and Stapleton, Nebraska.

This field-based role spends most time on site working with crews to reinforce safety, assess hazards and support safe work planning. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years HSE in construction or utility environments, strong communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety (BCSP preferred).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dedicated full-time HSE experience in construction or utility environments.
• Transmission, distribution, substation or utility construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with hazard assessments, inspections, JSAs, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• BCSP certification or similar safety designation preferred.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to prepare reports, investigations, training materials and safety communications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and reinforce our WE WORK SAFE value and maintain field presence across assigned crews and work fronts.
• Review and support JSAs, pre-task plans, permits and safe work procedures; participate in field safety meetings.
• Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective-action development.
• Lead project safety training, toolbox talks and tailboard meetings; coach employees on hazard recognition and safe work practices.
• Build productive relationships with crews, supervision, management and client representatives; identify opportunities to improve project safety performance.
