FIELD HOCKEY HEAD INSTRUCTOR
- SUMMER CAMP SUPERVISORS -

Part Season (4 weeks) employment opportunities are also available.

PRE AND POST CAMP WORK AVAILABLE. Pre-Camp: May 1 - June 22. Post-Camp: August 29 - September 30+.

Leadership Positions
  • Head Instructor, Program Director, Camp Supervisor, and Senior Staff Member are titles used for leadership roles held by teachers, coaches, and experienced child care professionals.
  • Senior Staff Members are provided private accommodations.
  • Senior Staff Members with families are provided family accommodations.
  • Children of Senior Staff Members attend camp free of charge.

About Camp Lohikan

Camp Lohikan is a coed resident summer camp in northeast Pennsylvania, serving children aged 6 to 15. We offer 65+ arts, sports, and adventure activities, with extensive facilities. Located in the Pocono Mountains, about 2.5 hours from New York City, we've been operated by the Buynak family since 1957. Our community is dedicated to providing a supportive environment where children can try new things and grow.

Our Philosophy and Staff Expectations

We pay the BEST salaries to recruit the BEST staff! Our staff must be able to put kids first and serve as strong role models. Strict policies are in place regarding alcohol, smoking, vaping, and curfew. Experience working with children is preferred but not mandatory; relevant skills and certifications for specific activities are required.

Job Requirements
  • Applicants must have high moral character and a strong work ethic. Previous experience with children is preferred but not required.
  • Staff must serve as excellent role models and provide mature guidance.
  • Camp Lohikan is a non-smoking (no vaping) camp.
  • Certification may be required depending on the position. Staff applying for instructor roles must have extensive experience and demonstrated expertise.
  • All applicants must pass screening processes including background checks, fingerprinting, sex-offender registry check, and others deemed necessary.
