Job summary

Hillsboro Aviation, Inc. seeks a Fleet Aircraft Mechanic to maintain helicopters within the Contract & Charter division at KHIO. You will report to the Director of Maintenance and work on a fleet including Bell 407, Bell 205A-1++, and Airbus AS350B3E.

You will perform inspections and repairs to the highest FAR standards and provide field maintenance coverage for USFS/DOI contracts, while collaborating with a dedicated maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Maintained Bell 407, Bell 205 series, or Airbus AS350B3E in the last 10 years.
• At least 18 months of helicopter maintenance in the last 24 months.
• At least 12 months experience as an A&P maintaining helicopters.
• At least 12 months experience maintaining one of the listed aircraft.
• At least 6 months A&P experience in the past 2 years.
• Ability to obtain USFS / interagency mechanic card.

Responsibilities

• Work a 12/12 or 12/2 shift in remote field locations during fire season.
• Work in a hangar as part of a maintenance team for full-time employment.
• Inspect and repair helicopters to FARs, manufacturer programs, and Hillsboro AAIP guidelines.
• Maintain Bell 407, 407HP, and 206 series aircraft.
• Maintain Bell 205A-1++ aircraft.
• USFS/DOI contract coverage as a field mechanic.
• Use computer databases and software to track maintenance.
