Linder Industrial Machinery Company is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment in both shop and field environments. Authorized for Komatsu and other premier brands, we provide training, support, and career growth across 27 locations in FL, VA, NC, and SC.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Diesel/Heavy Equipment Technology preferred; or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Experience working on heavy construction/mining/equipment is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment and components.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain repairs.
• Develop repair plans and determine required parts, materials, and tooling.
• Complete repairs safely and to quality standards; document service reports and warranties.
• Order and manage parts through company systems; communicate status to customers and supervisors.
• Maintain company vehicles, service trucks, tools, and equipment; follow safety policies.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment and related components
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain repairs
• Develop repair plans and determine necessary parts, materials, and tooling
• Complete repairs safely and efficiently while ensuring quality standards are met
• Prepare service reports, work orders, warranty documentation, and repair recommendations
• Order and manage parts through company systems
• Communicate repair status and findings with supervisors and customers
• Maintain company vehicles, service trucks, tools, and equipment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform shop and field service work as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, or related field preferred
• Equivalent apprenticeship or hands-on experience considered
• Experience working on construction, mining, agricultural, trucking, or heavy industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required

Preferred Experience

Experience working on:

• Komatsu or similar heavy equipment
• Diesel engines
• Hydraulic systems
• Electrical and electronic diagnostics
• Undercarriage, drivetrain, and powertrain systems
