Vandalia Rental in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic to keep our fleet in top condition. You will diagnose on-site, perform repairs, and maintain a wide range of equipment from hand tools to large boom lifts.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 3+ years of heavy equipment experience; strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills; valid US work authorization; and a willingness to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years as a heavy equipment mechanic or equivalent diesel experience.
• Proficient with electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer job sites for on-site diagnostics and repairs.
• Repairs/PM in-house when not on customers’ sites.
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Perform electrical, hydraulic and engine repairs on equipment.
• Assist customers via telephone with troubleshooting equipment issues.
