Job summary

PPS in Mt Vernon, WA is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to service outdoor heavy equipment in field and shop settings. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing machinery, ordering parts, maintaining tools, and communicating with the service manager.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of diagnostic and repair work on heavy machinery is preferred.
• Must possess and develop good mechanical and diagnostic skills and good problem-solving capabilities.
• Must read and interpret technical service information, manuals, bulletins, blueprints, and schematics.
• CDL-B license is required.
• Work is 80% outdoors with exposure to weather and moving parts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform service repairs as directed and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Order and obtain parts, materials, and supplies needed.
• Communicate with Service Manager about repairs and issues beyond scope.
• Maintain adequate tools and document time spent on repairs.
