Ferrovial is seeking an experienced heavy equipment/diesel mechanic to operate a truck and perform repair and maintenance on heavy equipment across Atlanta and Macon. The role requires basic repair knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and engine components and emphasizes safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in field-heavy equipment repair, owns personal tools, and can read and interpret manuals.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience as a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic, preferably in the field.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Be able to work with high level of physical activity performing strenuous activities of a hands-on nature.
• Have manual dexterity to use tools and work with fingers.
• Be able to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
• Ability to interpret math and construction concepts including rate, ratio and percent.
• Valid driver license for occasional travel.

Responsabilités

• Operate a truck and drive to projects to perform maintenance and repair on heavy equipment.
• Perform inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on heavy construction equipment and heavy trucks.
• Weld equipment for repairs.
• Operate crane for maintenance and repair work.
• Read and interpret specifications and manuals.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
• Safely use hand and power tools and diagnostic devices.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, supervisors and equipment operators.
