Job Summary

This role involves repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts both in the shop and in the field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment and components, develop repair plans and sequences.
• Determine necessary parts, materials, and tooling.
• Perform repairs safely and correctly, with quality assurance testing.
• Complete reports for parts, tooling, service, and work orders promptly and legibly.
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors.
• Manage parts and tools through the company's systems.
• Maintain and care for tools and equipment.
• Use company vehicles and fuel cards responsibly.
• Keep work areas and vehicles safe and clean.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and skills.

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, handle, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, lift, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise level ranges from moderate to loud.
