This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. An Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience is preferred. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use their hands for handling and feeling objects. Reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing are also required. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
The role involves exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
