Job summary

CDM Smith's Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, seeks a Health & Safety Professional to oversee safety on client construction sites across the United States. You will plan, implement and enforce safety programs, train personnel, and ensure compliance with company and client standards.

Travel is heavy (100%), with responsibilities to lead safety orientations, conduct inspections, and prepare monthly safety reports.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Associate degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • OSHA30

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall health and safety direction on assigned project sites.
  • Administers the safety program at the construction site (PGL OSH policy, training, Job Safety Analysis).
  • Documents accidents, incidents, near misses and issues accordingly.
  • Conducts accident/incident investigations to identify root causes and recommendations.
  • Performs follow-up investigations to verify effectiveness.
  • Plans and delivers occupational safety training as required.
  • Develops, reviews and revises site safety plans (SSSP).
  • Ensures adherence to all safety policies by field personnel; verifies training.
