Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking a Health & Safety Professional I to oversee safety at client project sites across the United States. You will plan, implement and monitor health and safety programs in line with corporate and client standards.

You will lead training, investigations, and reporting, ensuring compliance and continuous safety improvements on active construction projects. This role requires field presence and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of federal, state, local health and safety regulations and how to administer them.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and assist in implementing corrective measures.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall health and safety direction on assigned project sites.
• Manages daily safety program at construction site (policy manual, training, JSA, etc.).
• Documents accidents/incidents and near misses; issues documentation accordingly.
• Conducts accident/incident investigations to identify root causes and reduce hazards.
• Performs follow-up investigations to verify effectiveness.
• Plans, organizes and delivers occupational safety training.
• Develops, reviews and revises site safety plans.
• Ensures field personnel adhere to safety policies and training.
• Maintains official project safety documentation files.
• Prepares regulatory reports for enforcement agencies when applicable.
• Provides safety orientation to new personnel at job sites.
• Conducts project safety orientation for contractors and staff.
• Provides monthly safety reports.
• Performs daily site inspections using checklists and apps.
• Provides construction photographs to support safety issues.
• Leads Monthly Safety Moment Meetings.
• Contributes to site-specific safety plan development (SSSP).
• Pay range minimum: $68,640
• Pay range maximum: $112,320
