Description

Weaver Consultants Group is seeking a motivated individual to join our expanding Health and Safety Team as an Entry Level Field Health & Safety Specialist nationwide. Candidates must reside within 60 miles of a “Large Hub/Core Airport” in the contiguous United States. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of services provided by Weaver Companies, serving as an advisor to crews across the country. The position demands critical thinking and an understanding of the relationship between safety professionals, personnel, and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Review accident/incident reports.
  • Advise on safety topics, including noise levels and machinery use.
  • Assist in organizing annual safety training.
  • Coordinate with the Health & Safety Manager on field training development.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide preventative training.
  • Ensure timely and accurate internal and external reporting.
  • Stay current on company policies and safety standards.
Incident Review Team Member
  • Conduct incident reviews for injuries, near misses, property damage, or auto incidents.
  • Collaborate on corrective actions with supervisors/principals.
Field Implementation
  • Initiate and complete safety projects aligned with company policies.
  • Develop and monitor safety performance metrics.
  • Lead HSE audits, inspections, and analysis.
  • Perform safety observations and site inspections.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts.
Auto Safety Support
  • Review site-specific safety plans and hazard analyses.
  • Monitor GPS tracking and incident data for corrective actions.
  • Create safety briefings based on incidents.
  • Track incident data for compliance reports.
Health and Safety Liaison
  • Report safety metrics and initiatives at management meetings.
  • Present safety topics and statistics as requested.
  • Serve as a resource for safety questions and concerns.
  • Maintain medical surveillance programs.
  • Advise on auto insurance and safety practices.
  • Develop safety metrics and goals.

All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards.
  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of environmental, industrial, or construction safety experience.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
