Job summary

Push, Inc. is seeking a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator (HDD) in Sioux City, IA. The role requires operating HDD equipment to install underground utilities and reading prints/schematics. Candidates should be able to mentor team members and work in varied outdoor conditions.

The position emphasizes safety, equipment maintenance, and coordination with locates. Travel and extended time away from home are expected as part of field operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.
• Willingness to mentor other team members.
• Valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Operates Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable conduit or utilities.
• Ensure proper steering based on job preparations and projections.
• Operates construction equipment to conform to grade alignment specifications.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide directional drilling data.
• Abide safety procedures and attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain all equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with basic labor tasks on site.
• Set up and clean up the work site, including traffic/pedestrian controls.
