Job summary

PUSH, Inc is seeking a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator (HDD) to install underground cable conduits and utilities in Bloomer, WI. The role requires operating HDD equipment, reading prints, and mentoring crew members in a field-heavy environment.

The position emphasizes safety, proactive maintenance, and the ability to travel away from home. Experience with Vermeer or Ditch Witch units and locating equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.
• Ability to train and mentor other team members.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Willingness to travel and be away from home for extended periods.
• 100% Field work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable conduit or utilities.
• Ensure proper steering based on job preparations and projections.
• Operates construction equipment to align, move, and adjust machinery to conform to grade specifications.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide directional drilling data.
• Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, perform routine upkeep.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with all aspects of the job including basic labor responsibilities.
• Set up and clean up work sites, including traffic and pedestrian control.
