Job summary

KFS, LLC is seeking a GIS & Field Data Coordinator to support projects nationwide from Huntsville, Alabama. The role requires 5-7 years of field data collection with mobile GIS applications, data transfer, and data analysis in natural resources.

You will build and manage mobile data collection systems and help collect biological and cultural resources data for NEPA compliance. You will collaborate with KFS staff, subcontractors, and agency partners, produce geospatial deliverables, and train

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; GIS certificate or minor preferred.
• 5-7 years of field data collection and natural resources experience.
• Hands-on field data collection for wetlands, waters, and cultural resources.
• Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS Pro/Online) and mobile data collection platforms.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer mobile data collection databases for field teams.
• Manage transfer, QA/QC, and processing of large GIS and field datasets.
• Support field data collection including wetlands and habitat assessments.
• Coordinate with project staff, subcontractors, and agency counterparts.
• Produce maps and deliverables for NEPA documents and client reports.
• Troubleshoot field technology issues and train field staff.
• Collaborate with AI/IT specialist to improve workflows.
• Other duties as assigned.
