Job summary

Sixense, Inc. is a Minneapolis/Chicago-based company seeking a Project Engineer to support deployment and maintenance of structural and geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems. The role involves hands-on field work, site visits across the USA, and collaboration with the district team on safety and project quality.

You will install instruments, develop monitoring plans, assemble ADAS, and manage data systems while coordinating with clients. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months is preferred.
• Experience with geotechnical or structural instrumentation is beneficial.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint) required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain geotechnical/structural monitoring instruments per Sixense procedures.
• Develop monitoring plan submittals based on project scope.
• Assemble instrumentation and ADAS.
• Configure and monitor data management systems (Beyond Monitoring IDMS).
• Coordinate with clients and subcontractors.
• Perform routine maintenance and installations, including work at height and night shifts.
• Assist with takeoffs, estimating, and proposals when workload allows.
