Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Geologist/Hydrogeologist to evaluate subsurface data from soil and groundwater investigations in Tempe, AZ. You will develop site conclusions, generate maps, and collaborate with engineering and environmental staff on diverse projects including earthwork, foundations, and environmental assessments.

The role involves field visits, data collection, and report writing to support remediation and assessment activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field.
• 1+ year related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret subsurface field and sampling data, including soil and groundwater.
• Develop conclusions on environmental and geologic site conditions.
• Generate subsurface maps and cross-sections; collaborate with staff.
• Oversee field monitoring and testing of soils, including boring investigations and soil type classification.
• Prepare plans and reports for site investigations, assessments and remediation activities.
• Follow safety rules and maintain quality standards on projects.
