Job summary

Roux Associates Inc. is seeking a field-oriented Environmental Technician to support project teams in environmental investigation and remediation efforts in Somerset, NJ.

The position emphasizes hands-on field sampling, supervision of drilling and monitoring activities, and data collection across soil, groundwater, and vapor media. You will help prepare site descriptions, tables, figures and appendices, contribute to deliverables, and work with staff to develop technical and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 1 year of environmental consulting experience.
• Proficient in field activities including sampling techniques for environmental media.
• Experience overseeing drilling techniques and collecting soil, groundwater, and vapor samples.
• Ability to work independently in the field; preliminary data evaluation and analytical skills.
• Assist in preparing major components of routine deliverables (tables, figures, appendices).
• Ability to mentor Staff I level professionals and manage tasks/projects to develop PM skills.

Responsibilities

• Field Project Activities: Coordinate and implement field project work; oversee drilling, monitoring, sampling of environmental media, treatment system operations, and subcontractors.
• Data Analysis and Report Preparation: Prepare technical reports by coordinating figures, data tables, site descriptions, and other details; analyze field data to ensure project completion.
