Job summary

ARM Group LLC in Baltimore seeks an early-career to mid-level environmental scientist/geologist/engineer for a full-time brownfield redevelopment project under MDE and EPA oversight. You will join an existing team to perform field data collection, sampling, drilling oversight, data management, and report preparation.

We value proactive problem solving, clear communication, and strong teamwork. Requirements include a geology degree, 4–6 years’ related experience, and a valid driver’s license;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or similar.
• 4-6 years’ experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ArcGIS Pro a plus.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
• Team orientated with ability to perform independent hands-on fieldwork and reporting.
• Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid Driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and prepare reports.
• Draft technical documents including Site Characterization Reports, monitoring reports, plans.
• Pro-actively recognize conditions, develop solutions, seek guidance when needed.
• QA/QC review of work product and peer review with team.
• Sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas and indoor air.
• Describe and log soil/rock cuttings and cores during drilling.
• Observe construction of monitoring/injection/recovery wells for compliance.
• Complete daily field reports and test summaries.
• Evaluate and manage large volumes of laboratory data.
• Collaborate with team to meet deliverables and gain experience.
• Communicate with client, regulators, PMs, engineers and project team.
