Job summary

VoltaGrid is seeking a Generator Technician to diagnose and repair natural gas generators at Field Office locations. The role requires diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, reading wiring diagrams, and maintaining generator reliability through proactive repairs.

Candidates should have 5+ years in power generation, experience with natural gas engines (Caterpillar or Jenbacher preferred), and the ability to travel on a rotation schedule. Safety and teamwork are essential in this position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relatable experience in power generation.
• Experience with natural gas engines, preferably with Caterpillar or Jenbacher natural gas generators.
• Ability to travel on rotation schedule.
• High level of integrity and work ethic; able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair natural gas generators.
• Verify and adjust breaker settings per job requirements.
• Inspect and recommend repairs to increase generator reliability.
