Benchmark, a division of National Underground Group, seeks a Leak Detection/Corrosion Technician in Clearwater, FL. The role covers field surveys, corrosion inspection, and documentation for utility clients to ensure safe underground infrastructure.

We offer training to obtain Operator Qualification under CFR Part 192, competitive hourly pay, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k). The position is on-site in Florida with opportunities for advancement.

Formación

• 2 years of experience in leak detection and corrosion inspection.
• Familiarity with mobile GIS and digital reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Willingness to learn – OQ training under CFR Part 192 is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in various weather.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct walking or mobile leak surveys using detection instruments.
• Identify and classify leaks according to standards.
• Inspect exposed piping for atmospheric corrosion signs.
• Apply or recommend corrosion prevention coatings as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment regularly.
• Document findings using GIS mapping tools and apps.
• Communicate results to clients and internal teams.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
