Job summary

OWL Services is hiring a Junior Fuel Compliance Apprentice in Vernon, CT. This full-time, hourly position involves field-based fuel compliance tasks across retail, commercial, and private fueling facilities.

Expect weekly pay, company-paid travel, and growth opportunities while traveling roughly two weeks per month with lodging provided. The role requires mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and DOT screening.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with hand tools, preferred.
• Background in trades or industrial environments is a plus.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform fuel containment, equipment integrity, and leak-detection testing.
• Identify leaks and compliance issues to prevent environmental or equipment failures.
• Complete petroleum support work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Document test results using calibration tools and digital systems.
• Communicate findings and recommended solutions clearly to customers and partners.
• Travel approximately two weeks per month (home on weekends; lodging provided).
• Follow all safety, DOT, and company policies.
