Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Forestry Specialist to identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines and submit findings with recommendations to clients.

The role coordinates activities of tree clearance crews and requires outdoor work, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include conducting vegetation inspections, mapping circuits, managing work progress, and contributing to safety compliance and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, Biology or related field required.
• High School Diploma or GED acceptable with 5 years utility vegetation management experience; ISA Utility Specialist Credential and state pesticide license required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Forestry or related field; 3+ years utility vegetation management experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inspect trees along circuits; map circuits and coordinate work with client crews.
• Lead vegetation management activities and storm restoration efforts; act as vegetation observer in helicopter patrols.
• Audit tree trimming and removal work for compliance with work request forms and approvals.
