Job summary

MCIS (Marshfield Clinic Information Services) is seeking a Foreman to lead field crews on project sites, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will coordinate with BIU leadership, track manpower and materials, and guide crew members from planning through execution.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprints interpretation, and on-site problem-solving. Candidates should be comfortable traveling and working flexible hours to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Crew Supervisor in construction (mission-critical experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and OSHA safety practices
• Proven ability to supervise crews and coordinate activities within a BIU or team structure
• Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and construction documents

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field crews to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to plans and specifications
• Communicate daily assignments, goals, and safety expectations to team members
• Provide hands-on guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced workers
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials
• Support the Site Superintendent and BIU leadership by maintaining visibility of manpower, materials, and equipment needs at the crew level
• Report crew readiness and progress into BIU operational updates, including daily accomplishments and challenges
• Participate in BIU planning sessions to align crew tasks with manpower laydowns and project schedules
• Monitor crew performance against BIU standards and SOPs, reinforcing discipline and accountability
• Assist in incident response by coordinating crew-level adjustments and implementing contingency plans
• Assist the Site Superintendent in coordinating subcontractor and BIU team activities to maintain workflow
• Track daily progress, reporting completed work, delays, material shortages, and operational issues
• Ensure materials are properly staged, stored, and installed to support uninterrupted operations
• Identify risks or conflicts at the crew level and elevate promptly to the Site Superintendent
