Job summary

MCIS is seeking a Foreman to supervise field crews, coordinate BIU activities, and ensure safe, on-schedule project execution. This role reports to the Site Superintendent and emphasizes safety, productivity, and quality on site.

You will drive daily tasks, communicate plans, train crew members, and monitor progress while coordinating with subcontractors to maintain workflow and meet project deadlines in a in-person setting across the DFW area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Crew Supervisor in construction (mission-critical experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and OSHA safety practices.
• Proven ability to supervise crews and coordinate activities within a BIU or team structure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field crews to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to plans and specifications.
• Communicate daily assignments, goals, and safety expectations to team members.
• Provide hands-on guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced workers.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Support BIU leadership by maintaining visibility of manpower, materials, and equipment needs at the crew level.
• Report crew readiness and progress into BIU updates, including daily accomplishments and challenges.
• Participate in BIU planning sessions to align crew tasks with manpower laydowns and project schedules.
• Monitor crew performance against BIU standards and SOPs; reinforce discipline and accountability.
• Assist in incident response by coordinating crew-level adjustments and contingency plans.
• Assist the Site Superintendent in coordinating subcontractor and BIU activities to maintain workflow.
• Track daily progress, reporting completed work, delays, material shortages, and operational issues.
• Ensure materials are properly staged, stored, and installed to support uninterrupted operations.
• Identify risks or conflicts at the crew level and elevate promptly to the Site Superintendent.
• Enforce MCIS and OSHA safety policies; conduct pre-task safety planning and toolbox talks.
• Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe behaviors; participate in safety audits and corrective actions.
• Inspect crew work to verify compliance with project specs; assist in punch list and closeout tasks.
