Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Sprinkler Inspector to join our Advanced Test and Inspection team. You will inspect, test, and maintain sprinkler and suppression systems at customer sites, ensuring NFPA 25 compliance and local codes.

This hands-on role requires clear communication with customers and coordination with contractors. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience, strong NFPA knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience inspecting or maintaining fire sprinkler systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 25, NFPA 13, and applicable building and fire codes.
• Ability to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and system schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, and routine maintenance on fire sprinkler systems in line with NFPA 25 and local regulations.
• Evaluate system performance, verify devices and controls operate properly, and record test results.
• Identify code deficiencies, hazards, and impairments; provide clear repair recommendations.
• Coordinate inspection schedules with customers, contractors, and building staff; communicate findings clearly.
• Assist with moves from inspection findings to timely repairs or upgrades with the Deficiency Sales team.
• Respond to service calls including occasional nights, weekends, or short-notice work.
