Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. This role involves field testing, splicing, troubleshooting, and documenting results across diverse environments including retail, medical, and data centers.

You may perform fusion or mechanical splicing, OTDR testing, and fiber certification tasks while coordinating with project stakeholders. This is a contract, on-site role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiar with fiber testing and troubleshooting in field environments.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and fiber certification equipment.
• Knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber systems.
• 1 year of Fiber/IT/Telecom experience or 5+ years field experience with certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic splicing using fusion and mechanical methods.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter tests, light source tests, and certify fiber.
• Conduct fiber continuity testing and fault-distance identification.
• Inspect, clean, and remediate connectors.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode cabling.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
• Work independently across retail, medical, restaurant, corporate, telecom, and data center facilities.
• Be available for service requests within your coverage territory.
