Job summary

Hess Broadband is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicing Technician to join our field team in Warminster, Pennsylvania. This hands-on role covers splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and customer-premise work across OSP/ISP networks in aerial and underground environments.

The ideal candidate will manage splice closures, operate OTDRs and test gear, and support other field technicians with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• 3+ years experience working in live splice closures.
• Ability to independently perform splicing, testing, and lift truck operation.
• Hands-on experience with aerial and underground fiber deployments.

Responsibilities

• Splice, test, troubleshoot, and restore OSP fiber networks.
• Work with loose-tube and ribbonized fiber cables.
• Perform single-fiber and mass fusion splicing.
• Build fiber splice enclosures from cable prep to mounting.
• Use OTDRs, power meters, light sources, VFLs for diagnostics.
• Coordinate with construction teams and field personnel.
