Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing technician experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to read fiber splicing diagrams and specs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to travel between remote site locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate fusion splicing and testing equipment including OTDRs and power meters.
• Read fiber splicing diagrams and color codes.
• Install fiber closures, terminations, connectors, and patch panels.
• Mount splicing cabinets and bond/ground fiber cables.
• Ensure safety and production targets on job sites.
• Complete daily reports and time sheets.
• Train/helpers with safety practices.
• Maintain equipment and prepare pre-job safety plans.
