Job summary

The Extension Associate in Aquaculture and Aquatic Science at Kentucky State University serves communities, schools, agencies, and other stakeholders across Western Kentucky. Based in Glasgow or Bowling Green, this on-site role develops and delivers educational programs in aquaculture, aquatic science, fisheries, pond management, and water resources.

Travel is required to provide Extension services, and the position collaborates with the School of Aquaculture and Aquatic Science and external

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in aquaculture, fisheries, aquatic science, environmental science, natural resources, biology, education, or related field.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel throughout Western Kentucky and work from the assigned KSU Extension office.

Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, and deliver educational programs in Western Kentucky schools on aquaculture and related topics.
Provide educational presentations, workshops, and site visits for diverse stakeholders.
Respond to requests for information and technical assistance on aquatic resources and pond management.
Collaborate with Extension personnel and faculty to identify educational needs and develop programs.
Travel throughout Western Kentucky to deliver Extension programming and outreach activities.
