Job summary

McEwen Mining is seeking an Exploration Geologist to support exploration programs aimed at identifying, evaluating, and expanding mineral resources. You will gain hands-on experience in geological mapping, sampling, core and chip logging, drilling data collection, and interpretation under the Exploration Manager and team.

The role offers exposure to exploration methods, software, databases, and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• Willingness to work in remote field environments and variable weather conditions.
• Ability to travel to exploration sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with exploration programs including geological mapping, geochemical sampling, prospecting, surface investigations, and drilling activities.
• Conduct field mapping and collect geological, geochemical, and other exploration data under the direction of senior geological staff.
• Assist with data entry, validation, organization, and maintenance of exploration databases.
• Follow established QA/QC procedures for geological, sampling, and assay data.
