Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid CA teaching credential with English Learner authorization: Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Special Education: Mild/Moderate.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Three years of successful elementary or secondary teaching experience.
• Three years of experience with diverse student populations including English learners.
• Knowledge of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.
• Knowledge of the Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs).
• Basic technology skills: completing online forms, scanning/emailing attachments.
• Experience with online collaboration tools such as Google Classroom, WebEx, Zoom.
• Experience in teaching and/or working with adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring, observation, and feedback to LFCE teaching credential candidates.
• Evaluate candidate performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Support candidates in fieldwork, internship, or directed/student teaching hours.
