Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Kingman, AZ is seeking an Estimator to turn drawings and specifications into accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, machining, fabrication, and outsourced services. You will analyze details and develop quotes aligned with margins while ensuring timely submissions.

Collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, you will validate estimates, interpret technical documents, and assess production requirements, maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of estimating experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of labor costing, material pricing, and production processes.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Excel and ERP/MRP in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, machining, fabrication, and outsourced services.
• Review RFQs, customer specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
• Develop quotes and proposals aligned with pricing strategies and margins.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Assess manufacturability, repair scope, and production requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to validate estimates.
• Coordinate with shop personnel to confirm labor hours and processes.
• Communicate with Sales and customers to clarify scope and requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure material and service costs meet project requirements.
• Analyze historical data, labor standards, and material costs to improve accuracy.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with safety regulations.
