Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a Field Equipment Repairman in Stockton, CA to repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic tools and equipment used in complex construction projects. Qualifications

Requires HS diploma and 5 years related experience in repair of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical tools and equipment.
Two years of coursework from an accredited vocational/educational institution may substitute for two years of experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic electrical codes and ability to repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical tools.

Responsibilities

Repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic tools and equipment.
Repair and rebuild 2 and 4 cycle engines.
Troubleshoot and repair tools such as grinders, roto-hammers, mag-drills, and other specialized field equipment.
Order and stock tool parts and equipment.
Organize and clean work area for safety and efficiency.
Interface with vendors to ensure correct items are purchased and invoiced.
Maintain department records and paperwork.
Outsource equipment repairs when needed and track documentation.
Coordinate with teammates and management to ensure cost-efficient work.
