Job summary

Wheeler Machinery in Utah seeks a Rental Sales Rep to drive new business and manage equipment rentals across commercial, residential, and industrial markets. This field-based role requires regular site visits and active collaboration with customers to identify needs and deliver solutions.

You will travel within the territory, build strong relationships, and guide customers through the sales process from inquiry to close, while maintaining CRM records and ensuring safety protocols on every site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of industry related experience.
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM usage.

Responsibilities

• Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and value as partners in their business.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits throughout the assigned territory to identify equipment needs, confirm machine performance and application fit, and resolve customer issues on site.
• Spend the majority of each workweek in the field - on active jobsites, in customer yards and at customer offices - rather than in the branch, making consistent face-to-face calls on assigned and prospective accounts.
• Conduct high level consultative meetings to demonstrate the value behind Wheeler Machinery's product offerings versus the competition.
• Maintain professional internal and external relationships that exceed company values.
• Learn and implement a complete understanding of the products and services we provide to be a consultative partner in our customers' business.
• Lead and execute all aspects of the sales process while calling upon other company resources and departments to assist when needed.
• Follow all Wheeler Machinery and customer jobsite safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), on every site visit.
• Document jobsite visits, customer contacts, quotes and opportunities in CRM accurately and in a timely manner.
